![]() At WC you walk by/thru to the cliff dwellings. If you are north of Sedona, visit Walnut Canyon instead of Montezuma's Castle. It will take a couple of hours and not 30 minutes. There is no point in stopping if you aren't taking a tour. You can't "explore" Arcosanti on your own - you must take a tour. Next morning before flying out, planning to maybe go to the Pueblo Grande Museum if we have time before flight (dont know timing yet) Or maybe I should bring snacks and eat later?ġ2:30 - Drive to Arcosanti, about 40 minute drive, explore for about 30 minutesġ:45 - Drive to Black Canyon City, about a 30 minute drive and stop to get coffee at Nora Jeans and maybe pie at Rock SpringsĢ:30 - Drive to Phoenix, about an hour drive, and stop at Desert Botanical Garden and do the Hole in the Rock Trail, spend maybe 1.5 hours in totalĥ:00 - drive to hotel in Old Town Scottsdale and walk to eat at either Old Town Tortilla Factory, Rehab Burger and maybe dessert at Sugar Bowl (we have 2 kids so looking for something reasonably priced, kid friendly and kind of fun Otherwise the only food I see is basically fast food but I think we would be starving if we wait until 2pm or so where we get to other, better food.
